What We Believe
We believe in the Triune God that includes God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is equally and wholly God.
God the Father is the creator and sustainer of the universe and all that is in it.
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He was born of the Virgin Mary and humbled himself to mankind. He is truly God and truly man. His life and message was one of salvation for all persons who believe upon him as the one true Son of God. Though which He is the only way to Salvation. To fulfill his purpose, he lived a sinless life, taught people about God’s love, mercy, grace, and justice, healed the sick, and fed the hungry. He selected twelve people whom he trained for witness and mission and suffered death by crucifixion to atone for the sins of all people. The resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his death affirms his and subsequently our victory over sin and death. He ascended into Heaven. Jesus will return someday to claim his people unto himself.
The Holy Spirit of God, the Comforter, is in the world to draw people to God, to provide protection for the people of God and to guide them in what they say and do. The sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit prepares God’s people for eternity with God. The Holy Spirit makes God’s people aware of their sins and ministers to their needs bringing peace and comfort.
The Church is the people of God. The church is the witness of God in this world and continually seeks to minister to all people. The Bible is God’s revelation of himself to all humanity and contains all things necessary for a person’s relationship with Christ.
