2024-2025 Tuition
Due the first of each month from September through May
2-day class (3-4 y.o.)
Tuesday & Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – $150/month
*Student must be 3 y.o. before December 1st*
3-day class (4-5 y.o.)
Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – $170/month
*Student must be 4 y.o. before December 1st*
3-day class “STEP AHEAD” (4-5 y.o.)
Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. – $190/month
*For those who have accomplished the basics and will enter Kindergarten the following school year*
**2024-2025 Enrollment will begin April 1, 2024**

If there are spots available, please print the form linked Registration Form.
Turn it in at the Preschool with your $35 registration fee (non-refundable).
The form and fee will hold a space for your child in the upcoming school year.
Philosophy
The primary objective of our preschool is to provide positive and successful learning experiences in a secure and loving environment, reflecting the Christian philosophy. We work to foster growth of the whole child. We recognize that each child is an individual who is part of a group. Thinking strategies, language arts, math concepts, social studies, and science, as well as
social and physical skills are integrated to offer many varied learning opportunities.
Doris Andersen (Mrs. A) – Preschool Director
Mrs. A attended the University of Delaware and completed her 90 hr. cert.
Her teaching experiences include:
Fair Hill Nature Center
YMCA
Cecil County Arts Council
Cecil College
In addition, she is Red Cross certified in CPR and First Aid.
Mrs. A. has been with the NEM Preschool since 2000.
Candena Mahala (Mrs. Mahala) – Teacher
Mrs. Mahala attended Cecil College and completed her 90 hr. cert.

Her teaching experiences include:
Three years as assistant teacher in PA preschool classes
Extensive volunteer work at her church, a private preschool and Avon Grove Charter School.

Mrs. Mahala has been with the North East Methodist Preschool
since Fall, 2023.
Josh Mericle, OUR NEMC Pastor, is our substitute teacher.
Schedule
NEM Preschool generally follows the Cecil County Public Schools’ calendar.
We start the second week of September and finish the last full week of May.
If Cecil County Public Schools are delayed:
1 Hour Late: Preschool 10:00am – 12noon and 1:00pm – 3:00pm
2 Hours Late: Preschool 11:00am – 12:45pm and 1:15pm – 3:00pm
If Cecil County Schools are closed: Preschool is closed
